3 Top Dating Turn-Offs

Finding your ideal match often takes time, so don't be too disappointed if sparks are yet to fly after you've just started professional dating in London. But what if you've been on the scene for a while and seem to be struggling to secure a second date? Recent research has highlighted some of people's biggest turn-offs in prospective partners, so check out our list and see whether you may be guilty of less-than-stellar behaviour on a date.

Rudeness

A survey from the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) recently revealed rudeness as the worst thing someone can do on a date. Eighty-one per cent of Brits said bad manners was unforgivable in a potential suitor. This means you should be courteous at all times, both to your date and other people.

Poor personal hygiene

While you'd expect everyone to put in extra effort when going on a date, apparently many people still let their personal hygiene slip on occasion. A Dentyl Active survey showed 89 per cent of people worry about their breath on a date, with cigarette smoke and garlic among the biggest offenders.

Lack a sense of humour

A good sense of humour often tops the list of attractive features in a date, but you don't have to be a stand-up comedian to come across as fun. Being too serious on a date can make you appear stuffy, so don't be afraid to poke fun at yourself on a first date - and avoid gloomy topics such as break-ups.
