The Elect Club dating agency is a high-quality dating and personal matchmaking service that was founded in 2005 and was originally based in London, targeting almost exclusively Greater London people and those living in the Home Counties. Our initial offering was a high-quality range of dating events such as dinner parties, theatre visits, trips to the cinema, walks and weekends away. Along with a traditional, face to face personal matchmaking service for professionals.
With the changes to working patterns however, particularly since the Covid pandemic, far fewer people are travelling in to work in an office every day and now the trend has moved far more towards home working, as a consequence there has become far less opportunity for single people to meet and find partners, in recent years.
The dating service provided by Elect Club has expanded quite dramatically therefore, to cover the whole of the UK, including South Yorkshire and it’s key towns and cities, such as Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley and the plethora of smaller towns and villages throughout the county.

How does our South Yorkshire dating agency work?
Our service to the people of South Yorkshire, is vastly different to what you might expect from an online dating agency or smartphone dating app, which surprises many people, who have largely only known online dating and smartphone apps in the past.
It is built around working with your own personal matchmaker, who would be allocated to you initially and will then usually continue to work with you throughout your membership, which is typically between 6 months and 2 years, depending on the level of membership you have chosen. This highly bespoke and personal service is not anything new and the first dating agency in London first opened its doors as long ago as 1705. So is something that has been tried and tested over a period of more than 300 years.
One of our biggest differentiators is that we personally interview and then carefully vet every new member to get to know them thoroughly but also to ensure that our whole database is completely genuine and are the sort of person that we can recommend to others.
During to period of your membership, you will get to know your matchmaker very well and will work in tandem with them to identify the sort of partner you’d like to have in your life. Through frequent searches of our database we will look for people we feel could be compatible with you and exchange profiles with them, with you feeding back to your matchmaker when you have met them and how the date went.

Over the years we have enjoyed many successes both within the UK and on occasions internationally, which is a great testimony to how we operate and the strategies that we deploy. We are proud to be founding members of the Dating Agency Association and work within the framework that they provide through their Code of Practice.
