Elect Club, a dating service initially based in Central London, was first formed by entrepreneurs Rosemarie and Hayley Hill, as long ago as 2005, initially in Covent Garden. It was, right from the start, an upmarket service for people from a professional, business, entrepreneurial, academic or medical background looking to date and find a partner at their own level. Targeting people living or working in London and providing a sophisticated personal matchmaking service, dating coaching and superb quality dating events.
More recently however working in the capital and in other cities around the UK has changed and increasingly more and more people have been working from home and commuting into their offices, typically once or twice a week and on occasions less frequently. This has created an opportunity for Elect Club to spread our wings somewhat and widen our target market of professionals to provide a national coverage and we have gradually built one of the largest databases of quality singles anywhere in the country, where each has been personally interviewed and then carefully vetted.

How our Merseyside Dating Agency Works
Our service is often a complete surprise to people enquiring, there is nothing online or through a smartphone app, but is built around our team of personal matchmakers, who work on a face-to-face basis, with each member. Our strategy is, to get to know our client base really well through an in-depth personal interview and then to provide matches of other compatible singles who we feel could be right for you, according to the criteria and preferences of both parties. We believe that working with your matchmaker is very much the key to success and has been a winning formula now for many years within Elect Club, allowing us to create many successful and happy partnerships over 2 complete decades, many of whom are still together today.
Another critical consideration is the safety of our members and that is something we will never compromise on. That is why we interview and then carefully check out every new member to ensure they have the right background for membership. We are also proud to say we are members of the Dating Agency Association and abide by their stringent code of practice with regards to our standards and how we operate. About our Personal Matchmaking Service
It surprises many that Personal Matchmaking is not anything new, the concept was around long before online dating hit the UK, in the late 1990’s and is in fact older than the UK itself, with the first London Dating Agency (called a matrimonial agency in those days), having opened its doors 2 years before the union between the 4 home nations came into being in 1707.
So, matchmaking has stood the test of time, we believe because, face-to-face, traditional dating works and can bring results far in advance of ‘DIY Dating’ – trawling he internet for people you might like but then worrying in case they are not genuine or come from the wrong background. According to the BBC’s Panorama programme at one point there was more than 1 million fake profiles online and we believe that it’s a risk too great to take.
